This recipe is a great way to use up leftover chicken. The bourbon gives it an amazing flavor and the maple syrup makes it sweet without adding too much sugar.
Bourbon Roasted Chicken is a flavorful and moist chicken dish. It is made with bourbon, honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and thyme. The chicken is then roasted in the oven for about an hour or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
This delicious Roasted Chicken with Bourbon is not only juicy and tender, but it’s also very simple to prepare since it uses a dry rub to create its own glaze.

Roasted chicken on Sundays, oh my.
It may be made in a variety of ways.
Lemon Pepper Chicken, Herb Chicken, Barbecue Chicken, or 40 garlic cloves, like Ina Garten does!
She and her husband, Jeffrey, both swear by it.
However, Bourbon Chicken sounded appealing this time.
I tried a few other bourbon sauces, but they weren’t quite right.
Honeyed bourbon…? No way, it’s too strong and delicious.
Soy sauce with bourbon?
Good, but not quite what I was hoping for, so I figured it was the wet components that were failing me this time.
Then it occurred to me that I used to grill chicken on a rotisserie.
I used only dry ingredients, and the chicken was always perfect…every time.
So, while I was pondering this dish, I went back to my old favorites.
To begin, you must realize that I have an abundance of spices.
I’ve never kept track of how many I have, but I nearly always come back to around five of my favorite mixed spices.
With Jane’s Mixed Up Garlic Seasoning, Jane’s performs a fantastic job.
It really contains garlic pieces, as well as pepper and onion.
The taste is fantastic.
Jane’s Mixed Up Steakhouse Seasoning, on the other hand, has pepper and lime to give everything a unique tang.
These may typically be found at virtually any supermarket shop. Then there’s my new favorite, which is the entire point of this recipe:
Garlic, molasses, and malted barley whiskey combine in McCormick’s Brown Sugar Bourbon.
Come on, who doesn’t want a good laugh?
Let’s prepare Bourbon Roasted Chicken, shall we?

Bourbon Roasted Chicken Recipe
It’s almost embarrassing to tell you how easy this dish is to prepare with just 5 ingredients.
To begin, there are two schools of thought when it comes to how to cook chicken.
Is it necessary to wash it first?
Yes, Julia Child said, wash it first.
No, according to Ina Garten, it isn’t required.
And then there was one more individual who offered me advice.
I dated this person before marrying my spouse.
His father had a chicken farm and said that anytime you cook chicken, you should always wash it beforehand.
Like a result, I always wash the chicken first and then dry it with paper towels, as he and Julia do.
Simply tie the legs of your chicken together using thread to truss it.
(See how to truss chicken at Spruce Eats.)
This ensures that the chicken cooks evenly.
Then you massage the oil into your skin. In a small dish, combine the spices and evenly sprinkle over both sides of the chicken.
Because the chicken will juice up a lot while it cooks, it’s a good idea to put your prepped chicken on a rack in a roasting pan, breast side up, to achieve a crisp skin all around.
After that, put the pan in a preheated 450F oven for 10 minutes to begin crisping up the skin.
Then reduce the heat to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and cook for another 90 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
Remove the chicken from the oven after it has completed cooking for approximately 10 minutes to enable it to become moist and delicious before carving.
Then, guilt-free, savor this delicious chicken.
